A son treating his parents and talking to them kindly even if they do acts contradicting Shari`ah


A: A son has to be kind to his parents and soften his words to them and when he sees something that contradicts the Shari`ah (Islamic law), he must explain what is right to them and guide them to the straight path in a friendly manner. He should not provoke them by explaining the truth to them. Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim -peace be upon him) called his father to worship Allah and forbade him to worship Satan. We should take the model example from the Father of Prophets.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
